What Qualifies Under CIES?

Minimum Investment: HKD 30 Million

The total permissible investment must be at least HKD 30 million, maintained throughout your residence period.

Permissible Asset Classes

Equities (HK-listed stocks), bonds, eligible funds/unit trusts, deposits (cap: HKD 3M), non-residential property (HKD 10M portion only).

Property Exclusion

Pure residential real estate does not count towards the HKD 30M threshold. Only non-residential property within the HKD 10M cap qualifies.

Asset Management

Assets must be managed through a licensed intermediary (securities or asset management company).
