Who Qualifies for an EP

Minimum Salary

SGD 5,000/month for most sectors; SGD 5,500 for the financial services sector (as of 2023).

Relevant Qualifications

Recognised degree or professional qualification from an accredited institution.

Employer Sponsorship

Must hold a confirmed job offer from a Singapore-based employer approved by MOM.

COMPASS Assessment

Singapore's points-based Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS) for EP approval — scoring on salary, qualifications, diversity, and company support criteria.

Application Process

From Job Offer to EP Approval

Job Offer Confirmation

Secure a qualifying offer from a Singapore employer who will act as EP sponsor.

COMPASS Pre-Assessment

EP Application via EP Online

Employer submits EP application on MOM's EP Online system with supporting documents.

In-Principle Approval (IPA)

MOM issues IPA letter, valid 6 months for collection of the EP card.

Entry & EP Card Collection

Applicant enters Singapore and collects EP card from MOM services centre.
